Received my first MacBook with slanty keys and faulty battery cover (fix didn't fix it).

Talked to Apple who told me to go to a competitor and they'll sort it out. Like that would happen. (Nearest Apple Store is B'ham)

After talking to 3 other people working at Apple I was finally able to have it replaced, then they decided that I wanted a refund instead!

Now I have to reorder another one. And sort out the AppleCare which gets automatically registered with my MacBook, being the HE one.

I am not impressed with this!

/Rant - grrrrrr sorry just to vent ><!

Be prepared for people to tell you that Apple don't make mistakes, that this is an isolated incident and/or you're over-exaggerating. Or something.

Yeah, I think their tracking facility is a pile of utter **** and when I phoned up Apple I got told two different stories as to where my MBP could have been.

Just wait till you have a proper working machine in your hands before making a judgement though. I have to ask though, what dumbass decided to give you a refund instead of a replacement machine!?

I have no idea who decided that I wanted a refund. That's the thing though. It's the best computer/laptop I've ever used so this makes it worse!

Why don't you call Apple and explain how your feeling that way they have an opportunity to assist you, ask to speak with after sales department, they are really helpful.

I love my apple, but i ordered one online, only for them to try to take the money for 2 from my credit card (over £2500) which bounced so they canceled the order,

i ordered another one and they canceled that one.

i ended up going into a retail store and getting the slightly slower one off the shelf!

Why didn't you say that you didn't want a refund at the time? Sounds like a mix up.

I was told I either had to go into an Apple Store or they'd send TNT to pick it up and I'd receive a new one within 7 working days. As I don't have a car and nearest Apple Store is in B'ham I choose to have someone pick it up. Then to my shock see the invoice saying refunded. Then I ring Apple who say it has been refunded and they tell me I have to replace an order.

Apple have cocked up there. Call them and see what they say.

I had a problem with my first macbook, they collected and sent me a new one within 5 days, it was painless and my new macbook is perfect.

I did goto an apple store but they to me i had to phone apple as it was within the 14 period.

TBH i have never had a problem with apple, ordered two items off the online store recently, only thing i would say is the online tracking is a bit off.
