Hey guys,

I picked up one these : LE32R74BDX and I am using a component cable along with my PS2 and the quality looks really bad. Is there any setting to resolve this (a resolution setting somewhere?)

Seems you can get a Component cable. It will have 3 RCA plugs for video (Red, Green, Blue) and 2 for sound. You need to select Y Cb / Pb Cr / Pr from the "Component Video Out" tab on the PS2 setup to use it.

If your cable has only 3 RCA plugs Yellow, White, Red it is composite.

RGB Scart will be as good for a non HD source.

OK I tried Scart and it looks better.

I do have a Component (not composite) cable and I probably forgot to configure it :P

Make sure you don't have one of the cmo r74 panels, they are much lower quality.

Component is better than scart and supports progressive scan. Giving you double the resolution. You have to change the setting in the ps2 gui to y/cb/cr.

Componet for SD can indeed look worse than RGB scart as Component compresses some data. Have you tried a Prog scan game with the component lead ? That should look much better than RGB scart.

Hey,

What's the setting for that?
