Well So far I have had TWO Carbide 540 Air cases, both with scratched side windows on the inside, first one I just sent back, but the second one I kept and contacted Corsair.

Fair play to them they have sent me a free replacement side panel, which arrived today.

However upon taking it out of the box it's actually bent so unusable and...yes scratched AGAIN on the inside!

I have sent them another mail to see what happens next as I'm not a happy bunny!

Not very helpful but no scratches on my 540 - wonder if they've changed the packaging though as while very well protected the original packaging would build up a pretty hefty static charge.

Yes, was zapped twice on both cases lol.

The side panel only has the protective film on the outside, it's always the inside that is scratched. Nothing is loose in the case, so must be happening in production.

However the bent and scratched replacement made me face palm quite heavily!

Well just an update, I have so far had FIVE side panels and all have been scratched and one was distorted making the case look like a fish bowl (it also happened to have some surface damage).

So lets just say I'm not happy.

Wow you are unlucky, never had a problem with any of their kit.

I have the 750D and it is easily the best case I have owned!

sorry to hear that. I've always been happy with corsair cases. I've never had a problem with them. it's quite strange (and unlucky). hopefully 6th time lucky?

I guess they're not taking any time to check the replacements before sending them out which is very poor considering the number you've had already! No issues with my 250D thankfully but that only has one small top window.

It seems corsair are starting to skimp on bits here and there for their new cases. Too many vents/holes makes them quite noisy cases too. The inside trays, the outside side covers are like thin sheets of metal in comparison to their previous models

I'm comparing my 540 air and my 750D to my old 650D and 700D here. Both the 650D and 700D were solid cases (they weighed far more than the newer cases - which obviously reflects the materials used these days in their new range). Just look at the front plates on the older models - solid metal, now its just crappy plastic.

I know companies are out to make monies but it's a bit crap that these days we are getting worse quality than before - saying that its a bit like the new BMW and Mercs - nothing in comparison to the build quality of the older models.

Whilst I like the designs I don't think I'll be buying corsair cases again.

i have just sold my 540 Air, i thought it was fantastic for about 5 minutes, then it just got old fast, rattling and vibrating all the time. and the window was a very bad fit to the side panel

Have the 540 myself, and purchased 2 more for friend's builds, no scratches on any of them!

One did have an annoying vibe/buzz as P4Clock mentioned, nudging the case often resolved it - wasn't mine so didn't care too much

Well the SIXTH side panel arrived this morning and yes scratched!

Time to elevate to somebody in charge as while it started to get funny, its not anymore!

sounds like a pain, maybe time to send it all back and get something else? Having just ordered a corsair case, hope it doesn't have any issues.

had to send back my tx750m psu twice for noisy fans which was quite disappointing. but each time they were quite fast at sending out parts and didn't argue or make life difficult, simply replaced the unit.
it has made me think twice before ordering their kit again.

The customer service is very very good, just a shame the QC isn't.
