I've found it's best to leave these kinds of posts alone, you know the kind where the OP says something and every reply is "congrats" or "RIP" etc...

People get all emo if you're not a mindless drone and threaten you out of the thread.
 
to be honest i dont care either if that dude is having a baby or not..hell i dont care about half the topics people make...but i just click the back button....a lot easier....

Don't sweet it dude, it was just a misunderstanding, if your gonna enjoy GD more then you'll need a little thicker skin tbh, I learnt that the hard way myself many years ago.

Just leave it and it'll be forgotten about in a day or two, unless your completely stupid and you do something that is 'meme' worthy I wouldn't worry.

You have no defence. If you wanted to know what the thread was about then you should have read it. It was kind of obvious from the start but then these posts confirmed the reason for it:

If you dont get a thread, after not reading it fully, admitting you didnt read it, you get called out on it...

To then insult the general populace of the forum in a new thread, highlighting your mistake in the original thread, which might have just be forgotten by the forum untill you brought it to our attention again...

There is enough evidence to perhaps suggest you, yourself, are not the brightest spark in the box.

Quoted for sheer honesty.

Some people really cant handle getting responses they either didn't want or weren't expecting.

I personally can't see why some one would run to the internet to tell everyone his wife's giving birth.

It's nice and all, but the first thing that goes through my head is along the lines of "cool story bro".

I don't say anything for this specific reason, people generally over react to such things.
 
Ahh ok. I feel a bit gutted to get labelled a troll.

I've stupidly stumbled into a situation by posting in a thread I obviously had no reason to post in (?).

I've re-read what I've posted which still doesn't sound offhand - lazy - but not offhand.

I got lots of negative and derogatory responses back.

I notice that many people in the original thread have now 'modified' their responses.

I feel like a right plum frankly.

because its the most important moment of his life so far ?


do you think ''whys he ran to the internet to post that'' everytime someone mentions a new pc component coming out, or what game they just bought, or what they had for tea, how they fixed there computer , info about a project. all less important things but still interesting.

if you do then i dont think forums are for you
