HI guys,

I had some major problems with my comp a while ago, had a repetitive problem, bsods and freezing whenever i ran my computer, after some testing and reseating etc I put an old ata Hdd in to replace my SataII seagate, computer has run fine ever since.

I had previously tested the seagate using seatools and didnt receive a single error from any of the tests, but this is obviously where the route of the problem lies, as sonn as it was out of my machine all has worked perfectly! so im wondering if i send it back will they just run the same tests and say theres nothing wrong with it?

Cheers chaps

Just a couple of things to check, have you tried the hard drive on a different controller or used a different cable? Additionally does your motherboard support SATA II? If not is the jumper at the back to limit it to SATA speeds in place? :)

cheers for the reply, will check those things over, the mobo does support the Hdd, it all worked fine for about 5 months and then died!
