Link removed - contains too much swearing. FF.

An object lesson in how to drive like a ****, how not to use your brakes or steering and how to miss an apex by at least 15ft. How the hell did the organiser let (not just team gimp) them get away with it. How nobody was injured was a miracle.

Remind me why our Westfield is never gonna see a Public trackday @ Knockhill.
 :(

Edit: Sorry mods.

i have raced for 14 years, and worked at a major circut for 9, and I have never seen a more discrasefull example of "track day behaviour" and i am glad to say that i have never had tw@s' like that on any of my track days....
there were no marshal's that i could see, the lack of overtaking discapline was astounding, the fact that no one was seriously injured was even more amazing! no flag signals , no nothing.... very poor, and at knockhill.....
please let me know who organised this event and i will make sure they dont get a track day at any of our venue's

Shocking, can't believe they didn't get in trouble before they did. I'd have been seriously annoyed if I'd been sharing a track with them.

Can't believe they had the nerve to abuse the 205 who hit them after all their close calls, constantly miles too close to the car in front..

Dunno. I found it on the Westfield, but I belive that it's a Knockhill own day.

Knockhill is my local track and I have been on it in the elise, exige and esprit. BUT.... not on Hot Hatch days!!

These track sessions are organised by Knockhill Circuit themselves and are there to cater for the 'bottom' end of the track driving folk. Lots of the cars are trailered to the circuit and are specifically bought by the owners for these Hot Hatch events. The participants are *well aware* of the standard of driving at the events and any spectator would normaly struggle to spot a car on track with a value in excess of a few hundred quid. (no idea why the caterham was there mind).

I certainly aint making excuses for the driving standards and seeing the video is scary (no doubt there are also legitimate questions about marshals and organisers responsibilities) but dont get the idea that there would have been *anyone* on track in these events who didn't know what they were signing up for at the time...

Additionally there are various Clubs (scoobys, evos, lotus, tvr etc) who orgainise their own events at the circuit and again, driving standards are excellent and enforced.
The day (According to the video) was called HOT HATCHES - 17th September 2006.

Although most people going to a 'Hot-Hatch' public trackday could guess what it'd be like - But, I would agree that anyone seeing that video and associating it with Knockhill could be put off doing anything there.

even worse if its run by themselvs, did you see a marshall at all in that vid, as i didnt.... and why the hell was he let out after contact.... multiple spins.... overtaking at the end of a session etc the worst thing is the tw@ acctually thinks he is racing did you see the captions.....

my mini is too loud for coombe but then it is a 2.0 16v vauxhall underneath lol
Although TBH it's not their fault, what with all the nimby's thinking "I've just moved next to a racing circuit that's been their since it was a WW2 airfield and it's nosiy"

Looked as if they were going to hit the car infront on several occasions :/.

What were the cones for around the track, to force people to take a certain line / stop overtaking on corners?

I was quite looking forward to being able to go on my first track day with my own car but after seeing that... I'm not going near the place unless it's an organised club event. That video was shocking and it would be nice to think they would be banned from track events for the rest of their lives.
