Behind you... Naked!
I got a note 3. Its lovely and quick, very responsive etc etc, but the other day, I upgraded it to Android 5 and now its the biggest pile of cack ever.
Even simply typing text into a Message, it often pasues and takes a few seconds to suddenly catch up!

Is there a safe way that I can go back to 4.4 or is there a reason why its so bloody awful on Android 5 and can I do something abotu that?

Thanks.

Factory reset will likely sort it. Obviously you'll need to then install apps etc again but you'd need to do that if you downgraded anyway. Unfortunately this is a common issue with Android upgrades.

As above, especially with TouchWiz it seems you need to either clear the cache partition in recovery mode or do a factory reset after an Android OS update to get it to play nice.

No, I have not done any of that to be honest.

Clear the cache? Ok, I will have a look.

Factory Reset. Yeah, thats definitely needed but no, not done it, so my bad on that.

Right now, I have backed everything up and I am going to d oa full wipe.
I use a program called MobileGo to organise things, and, I have a stupid number of games and apps that are simpyl not really needed so I will only put back the stuff that I have used... After all, I also have tablets that I use for the games etc, the phone is only handy for games now and then.

I will do all that and let you know, thank you guys.

EDIT -
I have gone through the Factory Reset part, its doing that now, and I have decided to erase everything including NOT backing up my data etc to the google servers, so that I will hopefully be starting completely from fresh and be putting in my info ONLY thats I need to. Hopefully!

So far so good.
I did not back up my stuff, and when setting it up, it asked if I wanted to get the info from the server, I said no, but I still somehow managed to find 455 contacts on my phone?

I did back up my contacts to .vcf format and so I deleted all my contacts and then added those back ( because they are mostly sorted out and no doubles etc )

Anyway, she seems to be running fairly well now so thanks all.
