note 4 vs g3

Just ordered a grade A note 4 for £400, was a tossup between that and a g3 3gb model for 300, did I make the right choice for a large screen phone?

The Note 4 is a highly rated phone. You should not be disappointed.

Having owned both and disappointed with the clunky software of the G3. I sold it shortly after and got a Note 4 and been overjoyed since.

I would swap my G3 for a note 4 tomorrow if i could.

I've had the G3 since Christmas and in a number of respects think its a great phone. I previously had a Nexus 4, and also own a Samsung 8.4 Pro. I dont find the LG software clunky at all (but then i dont dislike touchwiz either".

However (and i've moaned about this elsewhere), the battery life is inexcusable. Its all good and well putting this "amazing" QHD screen on a "Mobile" phone, but if you can only use it for 3 hours before having to plug it back in to the wall what's the point? Also you cant turn the brightness up too much or allow it to get too hot or the phone just automatically dims the screen again to reduce the temperature.

I am expecting a trip to CEX or similar soon to get ripped off with a crap trade in price for my phone, and pay over the odds for one of their secondhand Note 4's - but i think it will be worth it to get something usable!

The SoC in the Note 4 will serve the QHD better. Battery life should also be longer as well. Also, S-pen is very handy if you take advantage of it.

The OLED also blows LCD out of the water colour contrast and brightness wise.
