Noteworthy Cars for Sale [Appreciation Thread]

What's it going for (don't know if it tells you if you login). Doesn't seem special enough to warrant keeping unused imo.

it’s an epic car, fast even by today’s standards at 4.6s to 60 and only 3500 made. Epic soundtrack. Doubt there is another one that’s just been stored. It’s definitely a future classic.

So about 75k adjusted for inflation. Not sure why you'd buy one and store it really.

well if it sells for more than £75k there is profit? But I think it’s been sold a bit too soon. If he had kept it for another 10 years then he might have seen a healthily profit.

plus people try and guess the next big ticket classic. Some guy put a XJ220 in storage for 28 years and made £10k less than what It cost new, a loss of £470k accounting for inflation and the guy didn’t even get to drive and enjoy it.

So its a crap investment?

Well people are saying it could make £120k so there would be £45k profit accounting for inflation so 6% per annum profit after inflation so far from being a crap investment.

However the guy that stored the xj220 away for 28 years was indeed a crap investment.

I imagine though that there are insurance costs to take in to account. Possible servicing/maintenance/cleaning costs. It won't have been free to store either.

Can't see this selling easily:
