My specs are as follows;
4870 1gb
Q6600 @3ghz
DDR2 Dominator 8500 @ 800mhz
500gb SATAII HDD
Abit QuadGT
Vista64 Home Premium
Over the last month or so i am experiencing a largely decrease in performance, whether it be boot times, loading times, gfx performance ( i am fearing my gfx may be caput? (not overclocked at all..) having de-fragged/cleaned out old files nothing seems to get better.
Can anyone make any suggestions? Would a complete re-format be likely to resolve such an issue? Would simply installing a fresh copy of Vista (as opposed to completely wiping my HDD) suffice?
Apologies for the simplicity of my questions, 'i r noob' as it were.
On another note, i CONSISTENLY(!) have to keep setting my fan to the 30% manually after each re-boot, nothing will save the setting! Any ideas?
