Hi guys.

Just seen that a very big forum which is based on audio Visual items has had a big refresh.

Many new features, I especially love the thanks/like/dislike/agree icons and the notification bar (like facebook) wonder if they can be applied to OcUK Forums.

I've seen forums with things like mentions, so you use @Ace Modder and that'd give you a notification to say I've asked for your presence etc. I do like that system. I believe you can turn it off aswell :)

A rep system would be seriously abused on here. A thanks button would be useful though.

In before I'm negged by some misc lover.

Don't you work in the shop and are a Don on the forums?

Surely you know who the best person to contact would be.

No I don't work for OcUK and no I'm not a Don. Read my avator and user title. The thread is all about open discussion. I do know the forum admins very well, but feedback from the community is welcomed, at least thats what I think a forum should be used for.

I just wish Chrome for Android did a better job of rendering ocuk forums. Things like downloading updates to threads I'm following so I can read them when I don't have an internet connection (e.g. on a train that goes through lots of tunnels).

Where's that facepalm picture when you need it.
Terrible idea.

A forum isn't meant to be a popularity contest and such a system would bring no good and all bad.

For a tech focussed forum, OcUK is insanely stuck in the past when it comes to forum software. Most members will argue against it as it's trendy to be seen to be against anything new.

Not that at all, its not wanting the forum to become a cesspit, like 98% of other forums.
