Online reviews are usually soulless step by step descriptions of a game whereas magazines seem better written, at least in my opinion.

I stopped when PCG gave HL2 96%.

Then proceeded to bum it every issue thereafter. Can't they fill the pages with anything else?

I sub to GamesTM, PC Zone and Custom PC. I still like to have a material magazine to sit and read whilst gaming.

Aye. It's easier to sit on the loo with a copy of Edge than a laptop Also, i've yet to find a online gaming resource that can match Edge or Games tm for info, articles, interviews/previews/reviews etc.

Magazines obviously do have a place, its different to reading a web page, its the same way that books will never become obsolete either, people like to physically own something.

Magazines with cover DVD's though, should get rid of them, nearly everyone has broadband, and its an excuse to jack up the price by £2 or £3, with less and less content in the magazines (pc zone and gamer are really really thin these days), they are not worth the money.

Anywho, i subscribe to pcgamer, i look forward to reading my magazine, but im no fool i look on the internet and read and watch videos on gamespot, IGN and Gametrailers. Im pretty up to date on my gaming hobby, and thats the only reason i do it to find out about upcoming games and there reviews.

I find pc mags have a bigger range of games that i sometimes miss in my browsing.
