Now have a 1080Ti - 1440p with GSync or 4k @ 60Hz?

4k on a 24-32'' monitor compared 4k isn't a huge increase imo. Would rather take the ultrawide resolution or the extra hz.

On a 65'' TV, going from 1080p to 4k and sitting 2metres away.. is a massive difference.

Well that's just not true... you can see a marked difference between 1440p and 4K even at 27", as evidenced here...

In fact, you often find given how far people sit from 4K TV's, that benefit in sharpness is actually lost.

Of course, the benefit of extra Hz available at 1440p is significant, depending on the game being played.

It's nothing to do with 'thinking'... the difference in sharpness is plain to see between 1440p and 4K on an average size monitor. You absolutely don't need to be on a 65" screen to see that, and in fact the PPI of 65" 4K is far lower. I'm not necessarily advocating 4K mind you... it's FAR harder to run obviously, limited to 60Hz unless you spend over £2K on a monitor and then you'll need a £1200 GPU to hit those high FPS! I certainly would recommend 1440p as the sweetspot. However, it is wholly inaccurate to say that there is no difference between 4K and 1440p at 24-32" size.
