I can udnerstand a faster processor on it, but 400Mhz i think it overkill, and i can understand some memory for buffering, but 64MB PC2100 is just stupid :rolleyes:
 
The 64MB will be used for QoS, almost certainly. Can't see any other reason it would need such a large amount of memory.

I'm sure it's a damn fine network card with tons of hardware offloading features and integrated QoS support.. but at what cost? and what real world gains?

And it's a bit pathetic how these companys are preying on some gamer's fears of "not having the best". Gah, like Creative advertising their soundscards for performance reasons. But then, can't blame them if silly people buy them thinking they'll be better gamers because of it.

Yep i agree, theyre all at it in one way or another. 'buy this and get a free go faster stripe for your case! this will boost performance threefold.' the worst part is the sheer amount of people that fall for it.
