Seconded. :D Might actually put some money down on it. It depends on whether they can maintain that insane energy level every match, to get back and defend where needed.

I think both France and Holland are in for a chance. Would like to see Iran qualify after the performance against Argentina, but realistically I can't support them to win the entire thing.
Germany won't get far this year (feel free to quote and laugh in my face if wrong!).
 
Costa Rica have been good entertainment so far so them. Also Belgium and I wouldn't be too disappointed to see the Netherlands do well.

Otherwise the Underdogs :)

Yup me too was gutted last night for USA thought the Algeria game was fantastic to watch as well.

I am supporting Belgium this year though the atmosphere is great here.

They said in 2002 only 9% of the population in a survey even watched the games lol now it's at 75%

Feels a bit like Argentina 78 for us Scots here except Belgium are getting the luck.
 
Germany, France, Netherlands and Costa Rica I reckon at this stage. Obviously some teams might not have unleashed their full potential yet, but this is what I reckon.

Well, 3 years ago I put a £50 bet on that Belgium would win the next world cup. If they do, I stand to win a fairly decent chunk of money, so would be happy if Belgium won. Having said that, I do admire the German cup machine, so wouldn't mind them winning it. Equally I also like Chiles gung-ho approach , so wouldn't mind them winning it either.

Strangely..and I cant quite put my finger on why, the one team that I do not want to win it, is Brazil. Not quite sure why, but they irritate me. They haven't in the past, but something about Brazil this time round irritates me.

That's because of three reasons:

1. Neymar is the only decent player they've got, compared to previous years;
2. They scored the first goal of the entire tournament, and it was an own-goal;
3. They're the host nation, so everyone naturally assumes they'll win.
