Now that is a character creator!

Do they have to be symmetrical? How do I recreate my broken nose and overworked right arm?

"overworked" ..... you mean over fapped! ha! :p

but that looks mad, I like customisation but daymmmmnnnn. I usually just hit random a good few times till it's something close to what I have though of and then change a few bits here and there xD

Dunno, sometimes the more options there are the more possibility there is of me making a fugly character! I'll spend hours on them then get in game and get it stuck in my head that their legs look slightly stumpy or something equally ridiculous. Plus I'd end up making every female character as hot as possible and never take the game seriously.

I used to be pretty OCD over what my char looked like but I've grown to realise I really don't care, as long as its functional.. I'll hit random a few times and if it looks OK, it'll do.

If I ever played an MMO with this amount of customization, there would need to be a randomize button or I'd end up looking default.

Very impressive but why are they all so pretty?

If I can make my character look like Sloth I'll be happy

How many hours do you normally spend looking at the front of your character as opposed to the back of its head? ...

that's why I made a female in ESO so I can spend the hours looking at her arse xD

haha that's what I've done this time. she basically looks like a hoe/pornstar xD

That's why presets exist, for people who don't want to faff about with it. It's good that it has this much depth for people who enjoy heavy customisation.

Sounds good, NCsoft would be a safe bet.

I hope not. The now cancelled (by NCSoft) MMO City of Heroes had a very similar creator. The best thing was your appearance didn't change throughout the levels. Your 'costume' wasn't your protection or your powers. NCSoft cancelled it and I haven't played an NCSoft game since and don't plan to.

Can't see the point. You only look at your character from behind for 95% of the time..who is seriously going to put the effort into that?

Put that into a game and 90% of the people playing it will hit 'Randomise'

Very rarely do MMO games appeal to me, but this does genuinely interest me. Definitely one I'll be keeping an eye on. Hopefully, many of the other game elements live up to expectation.

Yeah :(

Now and again I get the itch to jump into CoH again but it is no more :( will never touch another NCSoft game again for that. If its really that dead to them they should have released the source - you can't just push your player base onto newer games like that it just doesn't work.

Can't say I see the need for too detail in a character creator but a reasonable level of options is nice, CoH had it almost about right IMO just a little tiny bit more wouldn't have gone amiss though.

Well for me NcSoft make/publish the best MMo's I've played since SWG and I look forward to this and also Blade & Soul more than any recent MMo released ;)
