yes as I said previously thats why its been 720p for so long. To be fair to Sky it doesnt make commercial sense for Sky to have two competing services. I can see in the future that Sky's often touted online only dishless version of their Main service may well be what NowTV becomes.
I complained in earlier nowtv thread about the sound quality on nowtv 2.0@128Kb/s, and, the audio is often poor 'relative' to the pretty good 720 video quality,
but it would appear netflix was only doing 5.1@192Kb/s, but has now improved that , for the USA anyway

that's good ..might try it out .. can't see any info on audio bitrate ?
just saw they have a free one month 720 pass you can get via hotuk if you're not in contract, I guess one week can be added/changed to 1080 too.

just started the trial my AVR is showing dolby digital plus 5.1 that's good, had too restart the box too get the HD / 5.1 symbols too show up on the screen all the movies are in HD / 5.1 it seems some tv shows twd not hd though.

I guess until Sky work out what their internet streaming offering is going to be then we won't see a competitive service from Now TV which could distract from the premium Sky Q product.

NowTV is Sky's cheap option if you want 4K you will need to pay full price at Sky.Think they only show sport in 4K anyway ??
£3 is a bit steep just to improve picture quality to the same standard other streaming platforms have been offering for several years, but I suppose if you can combine it with a decent deal on the passes it's not a terrible price per month. Gives me something other than food shopping to spend my Tesco Clubcard vouchers on anyway!
Live it’s all sport. There are no other broadcast UHD channels. Loads of content on demand though. Around fifty movies with sky cinema, maybe more, I haven’t checked in a while. More on Sky Store too.
Watched the Leeds game tonight its definitely better and smoother picture. Having problems getting Dolby Digital/5.1 sound just keeps saying stereo no matter what audio option I choose. Auto states it detects DD+/DTS in settings but then when you go to NowTV Boost (the name for the 1080p add on) settings it says stereo. Reading the NowTV forums seem a lot of people having problems getting it to out 5.1.

i think so tv is a 2013 model last update was April 2019, perhaps there is a update coming if not those sticks are cheap enough.
