NOW TV

Promotion code though? If so, you can only ever redeem that sort of code once on your account, if it was a Pringles code then you won't be able to redeem another one of those again.

Seems eBay are clamping down on the sale of digital codes.
you beat me too it, some of the entertainment ones have been alton towers promotion - one per account

ebay folks I have bought from mail me directly now - since they say nowtv have complained to ebay.

I just enquired and it was indeed a promotion. A Pringles promotion? The person said as long as you change your payment method you can keep using these but I only have 3 cards in the household so I can only is another 2.
As I work adhoc and never know when I’m away, Pay per weekend seems to be the cheapest way for me to do it as I can watch them when I’m away most rigs have sky

Hey all,

I thought I would bump this thread rather than make another.

I don't suppose anyone has gotten one of the existing customer voucher emails from NOW TV the past few days to get the sports package for £20 for 9 months and don't plan on using it?

I was hoping to get that offer for the upcoming Formula 1 season but didn't get an email for the offer :(

As an ex NOWTV user I checked and no joy sorry. Have you thought about asking someone you know to share sky account or Virgin on tablet? I’ve given my mate my access on virgin so he gets sky sports on his phone.

Thank you for checking.

I was hoping for a voucher to pay for it and share it with my dad.

Funny this came up as a topic.

I signed up yesterday for a NowTV trial as I wanted to watch the Synder Cut Justice League.

It is literally the worst streaming app (Android) and platform I've ever used. I can't seem to select 1080p quality on anything I watch so everything looks a blurry 480p mess. Watched an hour of Synder Cut, gave up and finished up the movie on an illegal streaming site to get good 1080p quality.

I am also in absolute awe of the pricing. £12pm for Cinema, £10pm for TV and an extra £3pm for 1080p!!!, Surround sound!!, and multi-user!
I literally pay less for Netflix Premium £14pm, Disney Plus £6.66pm, and Amazon Prime £3.33pm combined, and everything is in 4K HDR when available.

How anyone can justify getting a NowTV membership over the other options is beyond me.

Unless you get the “Hd boost “option your stuck at 720p

Also, before I went virgin , I had crazy offers for entertainment and movies. It’s just the initial purchase you have to swallow. threaten to cancel and you get reduced prices.

HD boost was part of the free trial but doesn't seem to be boosting the quality of Synder cut.

Just found another thing to complain about. Ads. Just had a 30 second unskipable ad after I clicked on a film. Why it is forcing me to watch an ad for NowTV which I'm currently using and in theory have paid to use! I'm in absolute awe.

worked fine for me with boost applied, this was with LG’s built in app, Snyder cut ran fully at 1080p. 5.1 also worked. Not ideal needing to buy boost but is what it is.

yeah price is awful off the bat, when you have had it for a while actually brought a pass as someone mentioned above (trial or short term does not seem to trigger the messages), when you or go to cancel they will throw offers at you.

I find NowTV very much worth it and I haven't paid full price for a long time. I'm currently on offers of £4.80pm for Movies and £3.99pm for Entertainment. I wouldn't bother trying to get lower discount on Boost, it never gives you a discount, neither does the Kids pass.

@Infiniteey which device are you using? Boost is only available on specific devices

https://help.nowtv.com/article/what-is-now-boost

  • NOW Smart Stick
  • Any NOW Box
  • Amazon Fire TV Stick (2nd & 3rd Gen, 4K, Lite & Basic Edition)
  • Roku Express or Roku Streaming Stick

  • Sony TV (most models from 2016)
  • PS4
  • PS5
  • Xbox One (50fps not currently available)
  • Xbox Series X & S (50fps not currently available)

My biggest complaint with Boost is that it doesn't work on the PC app.

Also I justify it because I find the content to be far better quality. Especially over what's available on Prime.

Problem with nowtv for me is the content (but never had prime to compare, eg ... have they aired new season TWD yet) , and sound quality, not the picture quality
they have adaptive bitrates, so 'blurry 480p mess' is ops broadband/device issue, the 720 with the better than freeview sd codec(mp4?) looks fine.

resigned when they stopped last years £1.60/month lock-down deal

Hmm relations have sky, but wonder if, like netflix trial, they will start 2fa authentification, on skygo, to prevent sharing of logons

I don't think I've ever paid full price for anything on NowTV. There's always retention offers available to keep you when you try to leave. I get the entertainment pack through BT TV because I can then record series through the BT Box. Movies and Sports I use the USB Stick with the boost. I pay £3.99 for movies and £25 for sports.

It's a shame they ended the Tesco Clubcard vouchers deal, you'd get three times the value which made it very cheap. The price has certainly crept up a lot over the past couple of years.
