Now what?

Just to confirm memory in slots 1 & 2 which is (coming from the cpu socket) 2nd on 4th slot.

One thing i did notice my psu has two ATX 12V connectors 4 pin on each if i only connect one connector instead of both the cpu fan runs faster? still dose not boot but odd?
got to get some sleep now try again in the morning. Thanks every one for all your input

Kind Regards

Fred

The only other thing you can try is another PSU, perhaps there's a problem with the 12v supply. If that gets you nowhere I can't think of anything else other than a bad board or CPU. I take it the CPU doesn't have any bent pins?

Gee.. it's not about (PSU) power rating, but PSU QUALITY.

Save your time and check your rig with *proper* PSU brand, like Antec, BeQuiet, COrsair, Enermax, OCZ, Seasonic etc. 450W or stronger.

No and ive spent my budget £250 if i buy a good psu say £60 and its not the psu thats me stuffed. My own fault if i had bought from local shop i could hav got them to help?
Mind you the help ive had from this forum has been Excellent.

We are all hear to help :).

Where are from ? If your close to me, I have a spare psu you could use to test it, but I would need it back lol as it's my spare incase mine goes pop!

I can't think of anything else really, maybe other people can.

As your PSU is actually giving power I'm more inclined to think it's a faulty board or CPU.

Ah, a fair old treck then lol

Hmmm, what about computer fairs or carboots ? Or even looking on gumtree for a cheap one, I got my cx430 for 15 quid from gumtre, it is only 4 week old and still had receipt.

Try that, can't go wrong :)

If it's under 14 days he could return them saying that he can't get them to work. OCUK should refund the postage if there is a fault.

Hi all just to keep you all in the loop a mate of mine turned out to have a mate who works in IT. Went to his office he checked out my psu gave it the thumbs up and lent me a new 400w psu just incase. Told me even the 400w psu will have sufficient power to at least boot up.Also been in touch with Gigabyte they came back to me and asked me to to do a series of test most of which you lads have told me to do. No go. Told Gigabyte this and at the moment they are looking into this and will answer my mail. I will keep trying for the next few days then the goods will be going back to Overclockers.

Regards

Fred

I think Gigabyte will tell you to RMA the board for testing.

It looks like you've tried everything anyone on here would.
