Did anyone else pick one of these up?

Came out last week, basically a cut down Roku LT for £9.99

Ordered it on Thursday, came earlier today. Have to say everything works really nicely on it. Managed to get Plex installed, and it streams most things without any problems whatsoever!

If you haven't got one, for a tenner its really not bad at all. Granted it is limited to 720p, but as it only has wireless, i'm not sure it would cope so well with some 1080 files.

I was thinking about getting one of these but I have netflix and lovefilm already.

I wanted it more for the sports but I although £9.99 day pass for sky sports is ok if you love your sports, but I only watch sky sports for the premier league football , so £9.99 to watch a game of football would be a bit steep for me.

Shame they dont offer a pay per game option as well.

Do you need a nowtv pass for it to work? Or can you use all the other features without a pass.
Does it do youtube and does youtube work well.

What other apps does it have?

I have Sky is there anyway I can get SkyGO working on this, or something similar?

Might have to pickup a cheap TV with a HDMI connection and get a TV in my room, previously the only thing stopping me was the lack of an aerial.

Plucked from a Hotukdeals post about this:

- To use the box you will need a Now TV account (which is free) and this will give access to non-subscription apps such as iPlayer & 5OD. The free services will work even if you dont have a subscription or if you subscription has lapsed.

- To view Sky Movies or Sky Sports you will need a Now TV subscription (not free!) however there is a 30 day free trial at present.

- There is no Sky Go compatibility at all.

I have a few day passes left over from a previous **** up so planned on using it to watch a bit of sky sports at the mother in laws initially. I don't currently pay anything.

All of the apps on the limited Roku Store can be found here:

I've just ordered one. I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do with it but at £9.99 I thought I may as well. I doubt I'll ever spend money on any of the Sky services so as a bonus I'm also costing them money from the hardware subsidy :).

the box itself has the channels such as iplayer (no 4od though).

I'm new to Plex, but i'm using it to stream videos from pc to a tv upstairs. There does, however, appear to be a range of extra plugins for Plex. No idea if/how they would work on this

1. You can stream from two boxes from one account.

2. Bear in mind its max resolution is 720, stream any other resolution will put some load on your "server" (any slow quad-core is fine for 1080->720 or dual-core for SD).

3. Keep scanning the dedicated threads for updates e.g. if someone manages to install the Roku firmware (Netflix etc).

4. I didnt think there was any Sky Sports subscription, only day passes?
