So does Vista's Search? Honestly I don't know where Vista has got this perception that it's search is crap. It isn't. It is fantastic. Give it a try sometime.

I have. It's slower than Spotlight and returns less relevant results. Obviously I'm using it wrong though because it's just not possible that Vista is less than perfect.

So even if it is theoretically 1 second slower than Spotlight and returns slightly less relevant results (but hey let's make an allowance there because let's face it Mac has about 5 file types it needs to concern itself with when it comes to indexed search

)... how does that make it "not work" as opposed to "Spotlight works though"?

I've never had any performance or relevancy problems with Vista's search BTW. And I do have A LOT of files of many varying types.

There's a lot more to SQL than MS SQL....
