i have got a usb 120 gig hard drive, and i want to plug it in to my usb dvd player, but it only accepts fat 32, now i have borrowed my mates 80gig fat32 external hdd with no partitions on it, and plugged that in and it works fine, but people say i can not format to fat32 over 32gig, is this right?

The Windows fat32 formatter refuses to format partitions over 32 GiB. Other formatters will go higher since the theoretical limit of fat32 is 2 TiB.okey said:

Every Linux LiveCD will contain one, if you happen to have one handy. Partition Magic can do it as well as OS X. Beyond that you might want to try this, a solution I dug up after a quick trip to Google.
