to make matters worse my ntl connection was down big time for a week last week, 2 set top boxes and the modem, turns out some idiot from ntl had been into the box up the road and had knocked our cable loose.
Took them 5 days to get an engineer out at a decent time in the evening to see us. This i canna complain about really, no one including myself likes working late shifts.
But you would think a company like ntl would understand that i would guess at least 50% of their customers work during the day, so would prefer an engineer visit early eves say 6pm onwards lol
Sorted now, decent bloke came along and plugged the cable back in properly.
havent tested the speed today, will when i get home from work this eve.
