NTL National Ethernet

I'm seriously impressed by the costings. Do you have any contact information that I could use (we're still tendering for this contract, and if I can escape VM, then I'll give it a go)?

We've been a wholesale partner for a while, establishment is usually through your BT retail account manager who should be fairly helpful about the process. Our typical prices are in the region of 18-22k for 1Gbit WES and £24-30k for 10Gbit (obviously varying with distance and a disproportionate number of our BT links are in London which I believe gets a discount). We order a fair number and get decent discount for doing so (and obviously they're point to point, there's no access provisioned over it).

OMG
Been reading this with a lot of interest..
Can't believe the cost out in the real world, though thinking about it, it has come down a fair bit...
The Uni I work at connects to the London MAN (Janet), we currently have 4 x 1Gb lines, and last time I looked, the total cost was £2400. Thats a little bit cheaper than normal as we host some services for London MAN, so have a discount...

Are you paying extra on top of that for traffic, or is that all in?

edit - I know JANET is subsidised and that institutions get massive discounts, but having been out of the real world for the last 5 yrs, I had sort of lost touch a bit with commercial pricing...
