ntoskrnl.exe missing or corrupt

well google throws up plenty of possibilities. Try alt+F10 on startup...

Currently restoring using alt f10. How did I know not about this before? What's the chance of it actually working?

every chance...most acers have a recovery partition! Will install all the crap/bloatware that it came with too, right back as if you'd just bought it

Without a disk, that's pretty impressive. How come google didn't come up with this? Or any of the 10,000 fix websites I visited lol.

erm...dunno, but I found it straight away. Was 90% certain, just had to double check the key combo

It'll only be a temporary fix if the drive is failing...

With Acer, the first thing to do is a clean format imo. They put so much crap on their laptops :/

Failing that, run 'pcdecrapifier' on it
