The Great Wall of China is not visible from space, however, there are many other man made things that are.

Define "Space". The Great wall of China is certainly not visible from the moon but parts of it are visible from low earth orbit.

The A38 is the longest A-road wholly within England. It also used to host Europe's largest roundabout at Marsh Mills until a flyover was built across it.

100km from the surface and above :)

e:When I say 'not visible' I mean with the mkI eyeball, not a camera with a flipping great hoooooge telescopic lens ;)

Until about 500 years ago, there was a species of eagle (Haast eagle) large enough and powerful enough to carry a small person. Not Gandalf, but probably Bilbo.
