What's the point?

It's not like a shift key or something. If it's off the number pad just doesn't work at all.

It might as well just be on all the time.



Or am I missing something?



Edit: Ha, so I actually looked at the number pad and noticed it's got arrow keys on. :o

Does anyone actually use these? I've always used the dedicated arrow keys.

The num pad can be used as: Home(7), Up(8), Page Up(9), Left(4), Right(6), End(1), Down(2) and Page Down(3) with it off.

Some weirdos use it for gaming.
 
Numlock really annoys me sometimes. When I'm at work I will occasionally RDP to my laptop at home and when I get back home and start typing I get the inevitable numbers instead of letters :mad:

I'm sure there is a way to stop that from happening and I would be most grateful if anybody would let me know what it is!
