Number of drives in RAID

Only advise I can give on this is with Raid 0, the more drives you have, the greater the risk of a loss of data, keep a good backup!

cool, does it make any difference to performance if you have an odd number?
The more drives you have the faster it becomes (theoretically at least)

The issue is that with a lot of drives you will become limited by the interface and not the drives if you have IDE or SATA drives instead of Ultra super duper mega SCSI interface.

Also the chance of failure is increased though.
