number of hdd's

hi, ive got a "Asus A8R-MVP Skt939 Xpress 200 crossfire PCI-E SATA ATX" motherboard.
i was wondering if i could add a 3rd SATA drive to it, i know there are 4 sata connections but, im using the 2 main ones, and the other ones say Raid.
ive got 1 36gb raptor and a 200gb sata connected already, and a 120gb ide.
but need some more space and was wondering if i could get another sata due to the speed difference from ide.

Should be fine.

The RAID ones will be connected to the RAID controller on your motherboard, enabling you if you so wished to run an array from the two ports.

ok thanks for that, i've ordered the 320gb 16mb cache seageat hdd. will install it when it gets here tomorrow.

Does that mean that the other 2 connectors cant be used for raid?

AFAIK, the other connectors can't be used for raid, only the ones that say RAID.
