Nurburgring - Easter 2008

I read this last night but didn't post. Looks like you guys at fun, it looks more epic in the snow :)

Going to try to get a ring trip sorted this year. If you guys are going again this year and don't mind a jap coupe driven by an angry scottish cramping your arian style then I could cordinate my trip with your next trip :)

The owner of "** 02 SLO" just posted a lap of the GP circuit:

Is it the Clio posted above, that missed his braking point? :D

Sounds like a really good weekend!

Some absolutely stunning pics, too! This one has to be my favourite:

318iS was fixed in Germany and is firing on all cylinders again :D - was down to a dodgy HT lead, so quick and cheap.

All made it home safely - cars were much quicker after some performance mods done on the train.

Can't wait for the next trip now. Thanks for reading :)

An MM5, must be a special beast :D

Very good write up with your updates and looked like more than your average ring trip too! Very jealous and now I really can't wait to go for my first time in May.

on the eurotunnel, are all the cars put on one section of the train, meaning if your car is at the 'front' you get everyone walking tightly past it to get to the passenger bits?

you sit in your car
you only walk past other cars if you need the loo

only truckers have a passenger compartment as their carriages are not enclosed, as trucks are more of a fire hazard than cars/coaches

the only other place passengers sit in carriages in the tunnel is on the eurostar, which is a passenger train service..

Yup, people often assume Eurostar and Eurotunnel are similar - Eurostar is passenger only and very much like a Virgin train (with cafe). Eurotunnel is just a long double decker train with walkways and a few toilets dotted about.
