Nurburgring questions

We're planning a trip to nurburgring this september, and would like to know if there is any way of finding out if the track is going to be open to the public or being hired out to a private company?

also any other hints or tips will be usefull as we have never been before.

well we shall see what the rest of the crew says to those tips :),

on that nurburgring website, is it where it says 'Hours of operation – Nordschleife tours 2008' the hours the tracks are open to the public?
 
We are all motorsport enthusiasts and we will be taking our race preped 205, half the point of going will be to test out the 205 on a longer run with more full on straights as well as enjoying the time, so even if it does rain thats just half the fun gone imo.

But we will take on your opinions on propper accomodation seriously,
 
Camping isn't safe? and how much is it to use that camp site by the ring? also is it one of those camp sites thats so awesomely large no one will care if you make a noise.
also .... i doubt anyone will be that interested but..
