Nurse arrested for murdering babies

Seems the experts can't really decide why she did it. She didn't have anything to gain by doing it. One possible reason was that she enjoyed the parents being upset.

I am not at all on her side, to me it seems pretty clear cut.

But what is the advantage in releasing her identity? The media are now doing guilt by association, some echos of the Joanna Yeates case where they accused the wrong person.
Well she could have spared the entire trial by pleading guilty at the point she was arrested.

Would love to hear the conversation between her and her lawyer.

Yes but her family and friends aren't guilty. And they are being treated as if they are.
That's on her for not admitting to what she did.

She caused the story to be dragged through the media.

I wonder if she told her lawyer the truth and how they must feel in that situation representing a child killer.

It's kind of the risk you take when you commit a crime, that you will shame your family/friends and this probably helps prevent a lot crime that would otherwise happen.

Just watching the Panorama on this.

Can't believe, that the 7x paediatricians had managed to successfully have her removed from the neonatal unit, only for her to raise a grievance against them - forcing them to apologise to her in writing.
Do you think her parents knew about this? Seems highly likely she would have discussed it with them.

The investigation and legal case must have cost the tax payer a fair bit. Possibly millions already before any compensation.
Plus we have to pay to keep her behind bars for another 30-40 years.

The thing is, if it wasn't her then it was someone else, another nurse perhaps or Dr. Those traumas aren't going to occur spontaneously.
