I've always eaten the entirity of an apple, with the exception of the stalk. After trying to usual "an apple tree will grow out of your head if you do that" my mum switched to "they'll stunt your growth". My mum is 5' 4" and I'm 6'2". Oh, how I laughed. She stills freaks out when she sees me eat an apple. God alone knows why.

Indeed. When I was young and used to eat Nutella like nobody's business, our glass cupboard mostly contained used Nutella jars.
