I just bought

Kingston NV2 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD

To install on my MSI Tomahawk B450 Motherboard.

However, once installed the drive does not show up. I reinstalled my previous 500gb drive and that still works. I did it twice to ensure it was seated but no joy. Is this drive not compatible? Or am I missing a procedure that is required to recognise the new drive?

How are you checking for it? Looking in explorer/disc manager/bios?

Yes in my list of drives in explorer. The 500gb is back there right now. When I installed the new one it simply isn't showing up.

You'll need to initialise it and partition it in disk management if it's a brand new drive.
