Hi Guys,

This is getting very annoying now, especially since my PC isn't even a week old!

Intel i7 920 @ 3.4
6GB Ram
Vista 64 bit

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Sam

I would make sure latest drivers etc, and also go to stock speeds to test to see if problem happens then

Hi Kimbie,

I'm using the latest and it came pre-overclocked (from overclockers) so i'm not really sure how to do that...

when i used to do pc repairs for a job the only way we used to get rif of that error was a full OS rebuild this always worked well as its not a vga problem more of a vista problem

I get that error with my factory overclocked nVidia card. Lowering the shader clock from 1350mhz to 1310mhz gets rid of it.

It usually happens once or twice when I turn the comp on and then when I start a game - it can happen up to 5 times then!

Any chance you can tell me how I'd go about doing that?

It's the factory overclock imo.

Either lower the factory overclock or raise the fan speed :)

elevate - Download a program called Rivatuner and then have a google for some guides it's really easy. You just move a couple of sliders left to lower the clocks :)

I use Rivatuner.

So you get that problem when just sat in windows doing nothing? That's not good... mine only does it when playing Company of Heroes.

Yep. :(

I think sending it back for the OC guys to take a look is prob the best option. I've done more than enough clean installs!
