Hey,

Currently i'm using 2 x 4780's in Crossfire, shoot me if you will for getting rid of them, but they have bugs in the software I use and its a necessity that these are resolved. After countless searching, there are no solutions, so i'm forced to change over and send them back to OCUK.

Nvidia 280 are pretty superb, they are the bomb. But are they really worth it, or should i just get the 260 instead? Bare in mind my Motherboard is a Crossfire one, the Asus P5E.

I run Sony Vegas, Crysis, Counter Strike Source, TF2, Adobe Software Packages, so I need to have some 'grunt.'

Thanks :D

ps. Are there any particular manufactures that I should buy from when buying the Nvidia card, BFG, Gainward, EVGA etc, and are there any I should stay away from? I don't particually mind spending another £30 for piece of mind that the card isn't going to duff up, and if it does then it's covered by warrenty.

take out one 4870 and see if its just a crossfire issue. If it is sell the other 4870 and keep the one you have.

Best idea so far.

If problems persist then (as others have already mentioned) something like an 8800GT or even the old 8800GTX would be perfect.

Hi,

I'm just curious if the bugs your getting are in the adobe programs and which ones are you using???.

I use the adobe cs3 suite and i'm getting some pretty annoying bugs as well with my 4870.

Thanks.

I decided to get the 4870's in crossfire because I had some nice expectations of getting a 22Inch Samsung Syncmaster in a month or so.

Native res on my Acer AL1916 is 1024x768.
