Nvidia 310.70 WHQL

I haven't had issues with the 370.10 Beta's - all games are working fine and smooth. Also I think the temperatures on the cards are a bit better.

These drivers are a joke on my 580 :(

Seems to have totally buggered up the GPU usage. Anyone else with 5xx cards found this?

Back on 306.23 now and Far Cry 3 is running so much better

310.70 - Great improvement for for the 6xx series, "An Essential Upgrade for Far Cry 3" ...yeah right

Hard to say, but it's so quick and easy to install/uninstall drivers theese days, theres no harm in trying.

The one before this, sorry can't remember the name but I thought they ended with a .67 or something? Basically the drivers before this release. :p

I'm asking as I don't know if there's any point in updating drivers for the 580, should I just update to these and leave it there since it's an old card?

Have a go with 306.23 they gave my GTX 590s a little boost and they seem to work pretty good with the 6 series as well.

When updating drivers for your 580 don't expect huge gains but you might get something. Theres no harm in trying, it only takes a few minutes.

I had a big problem with these drivers this morning:

Yesterday i bought far cry and i thought id update the drivers to 310.70 so that far cry would work properly, so i installed them and started playing far cry

The problem was that there was no sli in the game and afterburner was telling me that GPU2 was idling :(

So i had a look online and the general concencus was to clean reinstall the drivers (uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot)

So i uninstalled 310.70 and rebooted, it was all low res, etc as you would expect and then reinstalled the new 310.70.

Perfect, i thought, new drivers cleanly installed, just do a reboot to make sure it all fine.

And then what happened: As soon as the windows loading screen went (i.e. about to load the OS) the monitor had a flickering black - i couldnt see anything :eek::eek:

I then did a system restore to yesterday (the far cry install) and the machine booted!

So i reinstalled far cry, and now i have proper sli.

It was a bit hairy but i think it is all ok now :)

Will do, thanks. Is there a free benchmark I can download to test the ones I have now against the newer ones and 306.23's?

Did it with Call Of Pripyat Benchamrk as that was the top Google result and 306.23 had the best FPS out of the lot. The maximum FPS were only 2-4 FPS ahead but the minimums were between 10-15 FPS up for the newer drivers, thanks for your help Kaapstad! :)
