Nvidia 3D Vision vs ATI Eyefinity

3D projectors are available at about 550quid for 720p, its if you want to go 1080p that its big money atm... unless that is what you meant.
 
I love my eyefinity setup. I wouldn't game without it now... I can't stand the idea of having to wear glasses at home so 3d is not for me.

I don't really see how either are gimmicks? One lets you use multiple monitors to display an image over a larger area and the other lets you see your games in 3d... both do as advertised so I don't see where the gimmick is? :p


As for waiting for 3d without glasses... well unless they come up with some new fangled super technology you might wait a while since they need 2 separate images to make you feel like its 3d so short of some wireless interface to your brain Im not sure what they can do?
 
Considering you can use 3D within ATI's Eyefinity i dont understand why this comparison has come up??

Nvidia Surround Vs Eyefinity then Eyefinity wins as you only need a single Card... For Surround on nvidia you need two is SLI

On the flipside very few single cards can really drive 3x high res displays with acceptable framerates.
 
Also forgot to add that 120hz monitors also give you a much nice/smoother image :)


I guess you could have 3x120hz monitors for eyefinity though? Even if the bezels arent particular small
 
I got a 3D setup yesterday, still playing around with it but fist impressions are very favourable, just wish the panels were IPS instead of TN film (shudders).
 
i tested a 3d set up to day (demonstration) - i liked the picture but wont get due to..

stupid glasses
unless i was dead level with the tv i could still see the double inmage (like when i wasnt wearing the glasses)

Dvd forums are all saying its just a gimik and will dissapeer soon - CAUTION if your about to spend £££££££££££££££

Why they saying that? TV's/monitors that can show 3d without glasses is still miles off from coming out
 
So far i've played Black Ops, LFD2, Metro2033 and STALKER COP and they all look fantastic in 3D, i'm sold on it, I really don't see it as a gimmick at all.
