Ok so i just got a Nvidia 3d vision 2 kit set it up and started playing but got a few questions

1st what is the lead for that can go in the back of the IR emitter for 3d sync on one end its got a mini jack plug and on the other it looks like a S-video plug im just curious as to what you would use that for.

2nd when im playing i see a slight double of everythin just very slightly but its abit off putting is this because i need to adjust somthing?

3rd when i looked for trailer on youtube for 3d movies there all for the red blue glasses where can i find ones for nvidia 3d? and i downloaded a clip which said it was for nvidia 3d but it just played with two images showing the same thing but kinda split if that makes sense

any help on these matters would be much apperciated

Thanks

1 - its for connecting the kit to 3D tvs, not monitors or computers

2 - use the slider on the back of the IR emitter to change the depth (convergence) of the 3D image.

3 - this one is far more complicated I'm afraid. Firefox is the only browser to currently support 3D and it requires a plug in from the nvidia website to work properly. Coupled with that, you need to use the search term "Y3D" to actually watch proper 3D videos as the red and blue ones on most sites don't work with stereoscopic 3D kits.

ok thanks and yes that makes sense now for the svideo type lead

and the wheel at the back if i just toggle that till the shadow sort of thing dissappears?

ok is there any sites that show a lot of proper 3d videos for nvidia 3d?

That could be related to;

Ghosting: Contrasting colours can cause ghosting on 3D LCD. It takes the LCD pixels longer to change from say black to white than vertical blank interrupt between frames. You get a faint image of the previous frame.

3D Glasses not active: This happens to me sometimes when the glasses are not switched on.
