NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

I wouldn't worry about cards being out of stock on day one. I cant think of anything coming out in the next 6-12 months that will push the current gen of cards, and by then there will be plenty of stock or a 5080ti due

£1939 I could just about stomach.

£2700 or whatever is insanity.

The 5080 prices bother me LOL it is barely deserves the name 5060 let alone 5080 aside from having more VRAM than I'd expect at the 5060 point but not enough for what should be the new 5080 point.

The 5090 really is for people who aren't going to even factor the price into their buying equation *shrugs*

5080 at Msrp you could maybe say is ok given the 7900xtx is around £750 and there are benefits with nvidia.

But the aib prices are ridiculous yep

Take a drive smoke a fag kiss the wife do somthing, but dont feel let down just because you havent had the chance to order a 5090 for 2500 quid

Some folks just want the feeling of sliding a 5090 in their slot

I just placed an order elsewhere, money has come out but no order number and no email... ummm. lol.

RIP mate, say goodbye to your money... in all seriousness try opening a customer support ticket. If it was OCUK at least you'd be in good hands but witha competitor... good luck.

The folks who got their 5090 orders in at £2k or below are the luckiest ones. I can't believe some have paid 'literally the price of another GPU' more for the same thing.
Overall this has been entertaining. The impatient will always pay for being early adopters.

5070 in 5080 box with actually 5060Ti specs for £1k.. and poor aib's also need margins so why not selling them x1.5

Very jealous. I shall be refreshing the FE page everytime i leave my desk and move between rooms for the next month.

I had actually saved a link to the FE page (and direct links to a couple of other other AIB models I had shortlisted) to my bookmarks bar to check occasionally over the coming weeks. This approach has always worked for me. Sign up to stock alerts on the shops and check the pages periodically and you will likely be able to purchase one soon enough. I've never bothered with the Discord/Telegram group madness, it's not worth the stress or time in my opinion. Managing to get the 5090 FE today was completely unexpected, and of course very welcome. 50xx availability will no doubt improve over the coming weeks/months. I just wish the price would improve too.
