NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

I have a 3090 Suprim X
(Shockingly paid £2,150 for during COVID)

Is it worth upgrading now or wait for 6 series.
I was thinking of maybe changing to the 5080, so I don't get burnt as much.

What would be the best choice... 5080 or 4090?
It seems like Nvidea keeps locking its best/better features behind a paywall with each series.
It’s a good question. I think the only thing to look at for comparison sake is what 3090s are selling for used vs the 4090. I think it is £600 vs £1300ish for the FE models. So to me as a 4090 owner, will my 4090 fall £600-700 over the next 2 years, and is upgrading to a 5090 less than that?

Fair enough, i did see you considering a 5080 which is why i originally posted whether you regretted selling the 4090 but if you get an FE 5090 whether thats day 1 or a month down the line then for £235 its great!

Yeah I wouldn't say anything is off the table 5080 vs 5090, but 5090 is most likely. Just waiting on reviews and benchmarks now. A 5080 for £975 wouldn't bother me tbh if it came to it. Very similar performance to a 4090 for a lot less money.

When do you think we'll start to see some reviews & benchmarks of the cards?, as most people probably are really want to see what the uplift from 4090 to 5090 is expecting no more than 30%

What AIBs are people considering for those not going for FE (feel like it'd look hilariously small in my Phanteks Enthoo 719)
Astral or Suprim + FE will be attempted to be acquired + Can sell on MM if both are successful whichever one is hotter/noisier can get the boot :D

Liquid Suprim Looks good also but I already have too many fans in my case

Question for the folk who are against DLSS/fake frames.

If we get to the point where the fake frames/pixels are 95% accurate to a natively generated frame and the input lag penalty drops, say, 50% less than it is now - would you still not use it?

Where is the line drawn, at what point does 4K or 1440p with every setting cranked up at 200+ fps become enticing?
