NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

If you order on the 30th and you're lucky enough to get in quick enough to get the first batch, you should get it on the 31st..... I really wouldn't place any money on you getting in the first batch though. If it goes like other recent launches, I suspect OCUK will get <1000 units and north of 10,000 orders in the first few hours...
Cheers for the info. I mean im gonna be ready the site open reloading constantly from 13:59:59 lol and my card details should pre populate so should get the order in quite fast hopefully. Cant wait to upgrade from my 4060. Either way as long as i get my order in and i know its coming. Ill be happy.

Why are you crying so much man? You buying one or not? :p:cry:
He's not wrong though, is he ? In all the promotional videos NVIDIA ( and others ) simply refuse to show a like for like comparison. For current 4090 owners I don't think buying into the 5000 series makes any sense. Plus it's increasingly looking as if the 5080 is going to sit somewhere between the 4080 Super and 4090, if you ignore the artificial MFG "performance" boost.

I never said he is wrong. I am saying he keeps on saying the same thing over and over again.

It's funny as this is coming from one of the most smug people on this forum. Surely you have heard that he is so flush that he could smash his 3090 with a hammer and he can buy hundred 5090's etc? :p

Yet he spends so much time here justifying why he won't even get one 5090. Too funny :D

As for Nvidia, they can only hide it for so long. Reviews will be out soon and we will all see what's what. I suspect many 4090 owners will buy a 5090 anyway.

It's pretty cool that all RTX owners get a free graphics upgrade
Nvidia Fine Wine :)
Pretty easy to figure out the performance here. 110fps with dlss 2x on the 4090 vs 240 on the 5090 with dlss 4x.

If the 4090 had 4x frame gen, its framerate would be 220, now the 240 doesn't look so good

FG doesn't always scale liniary, especially at higher resolutions.

Maybe in pure raster performance. Specs do seem to indicate that. But will be interesting to see where RT performance will be. Basically will it take a big of a hit in fps when enabled.

Either way. If I do eventually pick one up, it will be the 5070Ti. Seems like the sweet spot to me. Might not even bother at all though. I have at least a years worth of gaming backlog, probably more and they all play fine on my 4070Ti which will only get better with the RTX update.

To be fair, there are several people in this thread who are repeating themselves over and over. However, there is nothing wrong with being excited ( or disappointed ) in the latest tech ... we all have different perspectives. But yup, the truth will be out very soon.

The new adapter that comes with 5000 series has had a refresh over the previous cable bundled with 4000 series.

Just a bit short unfortunately so the part where it splits into three will be visible inside the case and look ugly; if it was longer it could be hidden behind the motherboard tray with the other power cables
