NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

I feel conflicted. I can't be bothered waiting another month for the 5070 TI, 5080 I would want the Founders edition which will be impossible to get...

If AMD price the 9070/9070 XT well I think I might just go for that

Saw this on another forum

"I think I may have found leaked pricing for the AIB, 5070Ti, 5080 and 5090 in the UK.

If you go to the **** website and search for one of the above and scroll down to the price you can see the lowest price and you can move the slider to reveal or hide cards. Granted these could all just be placeholders.

5070Ti - £889.00 (ASUS Prime)
5080 - £1078.00 (MSI Ventus)
5090 - £2099.00 (Palit Gamerock)"

Ventus should be an MSRP card (at least on launch). So that retailer is making a tidy profit.

edit:

Although I can't see a non-OC Ventus listed by MSI. None on overclockers.co.uk either.

Sure why not, but you see the problem with that statement is that Nvidia made the mistake of publishing the tensor core performance of the new cards and the 4090 has better tensor performance than the 5070 and matches the 5070ti. So how is it that MFG 4x can run on a 5070 when it has less tensor performance than a 4090... and no doubt the 5060 is going to have even less tensor performance, probably less than a 4080.

Nvidias misleading lies are easy to pick apart
Is the regular FG on 40 series still going to be run though the optical flow accelerator or is that going be moving to software when DLSS 4.0 hits?

Both types still need the optical flow acceleration. (edit: I get your point now, can Ada do AI Optical Flow).

I think the only acceptable explanation is if there are different instructions available.

DLSS4 is coming to all the RTX cards, it’s the multi-frame-gen (MFG) that’s exclusive to the 50 series. But perhaps that’s what you meant.
Yeah meant MFG. But in all fairness looking at the minimum FPS the most demanding games run at, MFG isn't really something that is needed at highest end GPUs on a 4k 120hz screen.

Maybe Nvidia should make some handhelds or something. Put MFG to real use.

Personally not that impressed by frame generation where you need an uplift the most i.e. the kind of 30-40 FPS territory you often are at on handhelds, where it works the best is topping up an already good frame rate.

The Switch 2 could use frame generation

OK Ive decided, this is what I'm gonna do on release day:

Try to buy a FE 5090

Or bag a AMP Extreme 5090
Or a 5090 Suprim
Or a Asus Strix, (not Tuf or Astral)

Last thing is I'll just buy another 4090 and use that for 6 months before trying again

But the missing cards that I also like that I cant see is:

EVGA FTW 5090
Galax Hall Of Fame 5090

Oh and guess what, some retailers are now guaranteeing you a 5080/90 only if you buy a prebuilt system hahaha

Yup, there's rumors this is gonna be one of the paperiest launches yet lol, some retailers in NA aren't even gonna get any 5090s in stock, I expect there will be like 10-50 cards per each SKU like the 3080 was, which is why these retailers can pull these pre-built only shenanigans

I think the EVGA FTW 5090 will be hard to get hold of!:cry:
