Nvidia 6800 wont go above 8bit settings all of a sudden...throws monitor into standby

hi,

my nvidia 6800gt just started doing this and really hope its not goosed


Whn comp comes on i install drivers for card then it says restart so i do that, and whn gets pass windows logo monitor goes into standby.

After a few resets the comp gets to windows but then everything is in low 8bit resolution! so as soon as i put it in 32bit the monitor goes in standby sometimes i get black screen with white symbols all over and have to restart...same thing whn put card in other comp too

was fine a few week back tho.

Any help on this would be great please

tried to re install all drivers etc and used driver cleaner all the same tho

happened to me. Cards Bust had to send it back ( still waiting for a replacement 1 month on!). Exactly the same symptons that mine had except it wouldnt allow me to install any drivers came up with some errors when ever i tried.

Does sound like the cards at fault

Yeah if it's doing it in another PC as well, then the card is well and truly borked, RMA it if you can mate
