I thought corporal punishment was a crime now?
whoever passed that law clearly didn't have kids
Yup, stuff like this is selling like hotcakes right now.
I watched a load of well priced (not that great though!) Palit 2070's on one site go from at least 10 or more in stock down to none in a few hours the other day.
I think OCUK have said sales are like black friday at the moment...just without the discounts

As long as the new cards are abit faster than what we have now, I`m in really want to get the 4k/120 workin on the OLED.
2080ti(or any other gpu for that matter) does not come with hdmi2.1 right now so no.
You can still run 4k 120hz with a 2080ti if you disable a couple of things in the nvidia control panel.2080ti(or any other gpu for that matter) does not come with hdmi2.1 right now so no.

There is people doing it with the new lg and samsung tv's.
Obviously no HDR though at 4k 120hz.
and what are these things might I ask ??

It depends on the game. For Borderlands 3 cutting Volumetric Fog boosts frame rates considerably. OTOH the original Far Cry runs at around 180 fps with everything cranked anyway.
To run 4k 120hz you run an 8 bit signal without cromo subsampling and hdr turned off.
Maybe someone else here can fill you in on the details, my screen is 2018 model so I don't think it can do it. You need the lgc9 or a samsung qled tv from 2019 onwards.
Maybe one of the c9 2080ti users can fill you in more of on the details of running it at 4k 120hz in games.
Youtube video here if you wanna take a look.

You also need a DP 1.4 cable.
4k120hz is not possible o the C9. Doesn't matter what settings are used in Nvidia control panel 120hz is never selectable at any resolution above 1440p. The TV does do 4k120hz but it needs an HDMI2.1 signal
the CX (the 2020 model) does do 4k120hz in hdmi 2.0 and 2.1
