From this design it looks like the air is going round in a circular motion. In via one fan - across the PCB and out via the other fan.
I wonder how waterblocks would be designed and work, the power plugs are in a interesting place

Nope. 3080 should be markedly better in all aspects than the 2080Ti.If a 3080 was a 2080ti with double RT performance for £750 what would you say?

3060 or 3070 at most should be 2080Ti level.
I get what your saying and this true round it could happen due to the new console generation but still £750 for 2080ti level performance with double RT isn't terrible when compared to today's prices.
Don't get me wrong £750 is still ab lot more than I should ever pay for a GPU but it isn't £1200 that the 2080ti currently retails for.
2080Ti was never worth that in the first place though? Honestly, if most think like you Nvidia really do have us by the balls. Unless AMD really bring it Nvidia can do the minimum and people still seem happy throw their money at them. Ampere, as stated in numerous articles online and multiple times in this very thread in the last few pages thread, is reported to have 4x greater RT performance than Turing. If a 3080 was a 2080ti with double RT performance for £750 what would you say?
Guessing the Fans are working in push & pull like many Cpu Air coolers do..
Hi AMD.If a 3080 was a 2080ti with double RT performance for £750 what would you say?
I’d say it wasn’t worth it, but if you subscribe to the Moores Law leak info that isn’t where it will land.If a 3080 was a 2080ti with double RT performance for £750 what would you say?
Nobody really cares about RT
By "nobody" I guess you mean you don't care about it.
People obviously want more value, more performance... but that does not exclude good RT capability, because in 2021 RT is going to become increasingly important in games.
Lets agree to disagree rather How is the goal of creating vastly improved lighting in games "not important" to visuals and immersiveness? Improved lighting is one of the most, if not the most, important visual steps in making games look more realistic and true to life. So far it has been limited by the poor adoption and performance of Turing, but with Ampere and RT-enabled consoles arriving it will finally start to take off and be developed properly. In a few years game visuals should dramatically improve as a result of this. Its not "important" in anyway? Its just as bit of graphical candy.

That's fine, but better not to say silly things like "no-one cares" when it's clerly not true and you are instead just projecting your own views.Might change in a few years but at the moment, not bothered.

Its a minor thing most probably dont care about, at the moment.
I disagree. RTX on the 20 series was only ever a taster. But if RTX on the 30 series is actually usable then it's going to be a must-have.
