Hi Can anyone tell me how i can set up games to run in their normal resolution on a widescreen monitor. I want it so you have black borders and not streched.

But why? That site tells you how to make the game into widescreen without mashing the ratio... :|

Whats the point of getting a widescreen and running in 4:3? :confused:
 
cheers Elite but my Nvidia control panel doesnt have that option .

it seems to think i've got a CRT monitor and I have just updated the drivers but still no good.

Any ideas?
 
hmm, it must do, you able to take a screenshot or something? i didnt install any driver for my screen at all. What card and drivers you running?
 
If you have two DVI inputs maybe try the other? or download and install ** screens newest drivers, not sure tbh i dont see why there is a problem.
 
I know u may have already tried this, but is there nothing in the OSD on the monitor to help with this? I have the NEC 20WGX2 and i have an option in there where i can choose if i want it normal, stretched or aspect.
