SLi on an Intel Core 2 Board

Am I right in thinking that you cannot have SLi on these Intel Core 2 boards only crossfire with ATi Cards.

I had to edit the OP as I have found out you can of course use GX2 on these boards, only I still need to know if SLi is possible

I used SLI on my xfrie mobo with two 7900 GTX using hacked drivers.Worked fine.
