As long as mining is around, sure. Probably the can mask the cards sold to miners as "gaming revenue". Taking that out it would be interesting to see as it wouldn't be much of an incentive to upgrade from 1080p crowd or somewhat 1440p. Consoles are 4k wannabe, so is not like they bring rtx2070/2080 type of performance to 1080p as base line.
