In the Nvidia Control Panel which option should I set for the "Adjust Image Settings with Preview".

There is three options:

1.Let 3D application decide
2.Use the advanced 3D image settings
3.Use my preference emphasising: Quality

Just wondered what everyone here has it set as? I have an 8800GTX so want to use every last drop of image quality out of it.

Cheers,

I tend to have everything set to allow the application decide and adjust settings in game to suit. The only setting I have applied globally, is V-sync.

I only use "Performance" settings if benchmarking.

I have the AA/AF to 'Let the application decide' and IQ to High Quality

If the game does not have AA/AF options I make a custom profile and set the AA/AF with that.

I don't think it matters, as when you change the AA/AF etc... in the Manage 3D Settings, it selects the middle one on there, Use The Advanced 3D Settings, which overrides the other 2x settings (Let The 3D Application Decide and Use My Preference Emphasising). :)

When i had an 8800 GT i used to use these settings in the "Manage 3D Settings".

Anisotropic Filtering = 16x

Anti Gamma Correction = On

Anti Aliasing Mode = Override Application Setting

Anti Aliasing Setting = Set to what i wanted

Antil Aliasing Transparency = SuperSampling

Conformant Texture Clamp = Use Hardware

Error Report = Off

Ext. Limit = Off

Force Mipmaps = Trilinear

Multi Display = Single (as only one card)

Texture Filtering Aniso = Off (Greyed out)

LOD Bias = Clamp

Texture Filtering Quality = High Quality

Texture Filtering Trilinear Optimisation = Off (Greyed out)

Threaded Optimisation = On

Triple Buffering = On

Vertical Sync = Force On (as i hated the tearing).

The 2x settings that were greyed out (which got defaulted to Off), were because i selected High Quality Texture Filtering, or it was setting the LOD Bias to Clamp (can't remember now).

I got fantastic IQ with those settings. :)
